Purer Oceans, Cleaner Oil

Bering Selects marine lipids contains preresolving mediators–stable O3 metabolites that are further metabolized to active pro-resolving mediators, the concentration of which is similar to what is found in human breast milk during the first four weeks of lactation.

Kosher

In collaboration with the KSA, Bering Select became the first North American kosher certified Cod Liver OIl facility. Consumer are demanding transparency from manufactures on where, when and how they source their raw materials. Since inception, we have offered this to all of our customers, allowing them to see harvest locations, dates, and how exactly our oils are produced.

Sustainable

The MSC Fisheries Standard is used to asses if a fishery is well-managed and sustainable. The standard reflects the most up to date understanding of internationally accepted fisheries science and management. The standard is reviewed and developed in consultation with scientist, the fishing industry and conservation groups. In 2006, Bering Select founders sponsored the first MSC certified fishery in Alaska.

Local

One of the world's largest and most famous fishing ports, Dutch Harbor, Alaska, is located over 900 miles SW of Anchorage poised amidst the rugged, windswept Aleutian islands. The city has built state of the art offload facilities that are able to transfer millions of pounds of seafood daily from the thriving commercial fisheries in the Bering Sea. By positioning our facility in Dutch Harbor, we can quickly offload raw material after each trip, have it quickly rendered into fish oil and then shipped world-wide.

"By locating the plant in Dutch Harbor, the center of the Bering Sea fishing fleets, we can capture these precious oils in the freshest form possible. Our fishing boats can literally deliver the freshest fish livers to the factory door when they come into port."
